Design Process
The design brief was to create a single-color quote art with celestial elements woven in for the cover of the journal and a complementary frame or corner detail design for its interior pages.
My first sketch was approved, which was then refined and redrawn as vector artwork for foil printing. The frame including illustrations of the sun and moon was used across the interior pages of the journal.
The final illustrated lettering piece was foil printed in gold on a teal journal and sold individually as well as part of a subscription box.
